The map shows all tracks that match your current filter.

Find out what's at a spot

Click anywhere on the map. Choose what to see here lists everything at that spot: your GPS tracks, photos, places, and public routes. Your GPS tracks are your own recordings; Waymarked routes and Swiss routes are public trail networks.

  • Click a category to see all its results. Use Previous and Next for long lists.
  • Point at one of your tracks in the list to highlight it on the map.
  • Click a result to open its details. Back to results returns to the list.

If nothing is there, you'll see Nothing found here.

Open a track

Click a track, or choose it from the list. Its details open in a panel. The address bar changes to /track/…, so you can bookmark or share the track.

On a phone, the details fill the screen. Tap Restore panel size before dragging the panel down.

See track details for what each tab shows.

Open photos

Click a photo marker or a group of photos. Under Photos, choose the photo you clicked, This cluster, or Map view at tap (all photos visible when you clicked). To see the photos of one activity, use the track's Media tab.

Turn photos and videos on in Map → Your data. See browse photos and videos.

Change what the map shows

Click Map to:

  • choose a base map,
  • turn your own data on or off: tracks, photos, and videos,
  • add Points of interest such as peaks, viewpoints, drinking water, huts, food, and transport,
  • turn on 3D Terrain,
  • add Route overlays such as Waymarked Trails.

Public trails and points of interest are for reference only. They are not added to your tracks or your plans.

Click a public route to see its name, activity, and a link to more information. Swiss routes also link to their stages. For unnamed Swiss trails, use Open in Swiss map. If routes can't be identified, zoom in.

Use Filter to choose which tracks appear, and coloring to change how they look. A heatmap shows where you go most often.

The status indicator

The small indicator on the map shows when data is loading or processing, when the map is out of date, and when you are offline. Click it for details, and press Esc to close it.

If it says N files need review, click Review to check them. Dismiss hides the notice for these files; use Undo if you change your mind. New problems will show up again.

See Review and offline use.
