Terms of use

Terms for the optional Google Health connection.

These terms supplement the MTL Explorer software license and project disclaimer.

Scope

These terms apply to use of the Google Health connection distributed with MTL Explorer. They do not replace the license that applies to the MTL Explorer source code or a separately signed commercial agreement.

Software license

MTL Explorer is available under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 or later, with a separate commercial license option. Use, modification, and distribution of the software remain governed by the applicable license.

Self-hosted operation

The installation operator is responsible for:

Google account access

The connector requests read-only Google Health permissions. A user may decline consent or revoke access at any time. Google may change, restrict, suspend, or discontinue its APIs and OAuth requirements. MTL Explorer cannot guarantee continued API availability or compatibility.

Google is not the provider or sponsor of MTL Explorer. Google Health, Google Cloud, and related names are trademarks of Google LLC.

Health and activity information

MTL Explorer is a personal archive, visualization, and planning tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, emergency guidance, or professional health advice. Data can be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or interpreted incorrectly. Consult a qualified professional for medical decisions.

No central service

The MTL Explorer project does not operate the self-hosted installation and does not receive its Google Health records. Support from the project does not include access to an operator's server or data unless the operator deliberately provides that information.

Shared OAuth information pages

Administrators of personal, self-hosted MTL Explorer installations may reference the pages under https://mtl-explorer.com/google-health/ in their Google OAuth branding when the pages accurately describe their use.

This limited permission does not grant ownership of the domain, authorize a different product to use the MTL Explorer identity, or guarantee Google verification. Public services, rebranded products, and materially changed integrations should publish their own terms and privacy information.

Warranty and liability

The software is provided under the warranty and liability terms of its applicable license. Review the project disclaimer before relying on imported data, route information, calculations, or availability.

Stopping use

A user can stop using the connector by disconnecting Google Health in MTL Explorer and revoking the OAuth grant in the Google Account. Disconnecting does not remove records already stored locally. The administrator must separately use Delete local mirror to remove mirrored records and managed route tracks.

Changes and contact

These terms may change when MTL Explorer or Google Health changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Questions about the MTL Explorer project can be sent to hey.lueg@gmail.com. Questions about a specific server should be directed to its operator.
